For quality control and safety management personnel, debugging is not equivalent to simple startup and trial operation. This is the final checkpoint for identifying installation hazards before the equipment is officially connected to customers, operators, vehicles to be washed, chemicals, water, electricity, and gas.

Even though the mechanical components of the car wash machine appear to be fully assembled, there are still significant safety risks lurking. Inadequate adhesion, weak anchoring, blocked drainage pipes, sensor displacement, and chemical leakage are all highly likely to cause operational safety accidents.

Therefore, after the installation of the car washing machine is completed, professional technicians must conduct item by item inspection, functional testing, and problem rectification before the equipment can be officially delivered and put into use.

What Should Be Approved Before the First Wash Cycle?

Powering up a device does not mean everything is fine. Management personnel need to verify that each subsystem can operate safely and stably under actual load, humid conditions, and sudden emergency situations.

Debugging and acceptance should comprehensively cover electrical safety, mechanical stability, hydraulic working conditions, chemical supply, control system, drainage system, while taking into account user protection and operator operation permissions.

Each inspection must have clear acceptance criteria. The operation of the equipment involves moving gantry, high-pressure water flow, rotating components, and corrosive agents, and relying solely on the naked eye to "see no problem" cannot be used as a qualified basis.

It is also necessary to verify the model, serial number, optional components, and control software version of the equipment installed on site, which must be consistent with the purchase order and on-site layout drawings.

Once there is a discrepancy, it will directly affect the cleaning workspace, water and electricity consumption, chemical ratio, safety protection devices, and subsequent maintenance processes. Any replacement of equipment that has not been filed must first complete a technical evaluation before passing the acceptance.

Verify Electrical Isolation, Protection, and Wet-Area Suitability

Electrical hazards are one of the highest risks during the installation phase of car washing machines. The car washing area is equipped with water mist sprays, metal bodies, electric motors and water pumps, and there are often people entering and exiting, which amplifies the electrical safety risks due to multiple factors.

Firstly, it is necessary to verify the power supply voltage, phase sequence, frequency, cable specifications, and rated parameters of the protection device, which must be completely consistent with the manufacturer's electrical technical parameter table.

The cross-sectional selection of power supply cables is too small, which makes it easy for water pumps and fans to overheat when operating at full load; Reversing the phase sequence can burn out the motor, cause the water pump to reverse, and even lead to unexpected equipment operation.

Verify the position of the main power isolation switch: it must be easily accessible, clearly labeled, and have a locking function to facilitate maintenance personnel to cut off the power supply of the entire machine before operation.

Confirm that the incoming power supply, electrical control cabinet, motor, water pump, metal frame, gantry assembly, and all external auxiliary equipment have a continuous and reliable protective grounding circuit.

Grounding connections cannot be observed solely by the naked eye, but must be measured using professional instruments. Rust on the paint surface, loose wiring terminals, and incorrect selection of grounding accessories can all cause the grounding path to appear intact but actually be disconnected.

According to local regulations and equipment technical requirements, verify the leakage protection/grounding fault protection device, complete the test according to standard procedures, and record the protection trip parameters.

The protection level of the electrical box in the car washing area must meet the standard. Focus on inspecting the sealing of the box door, cable gland heads, idle openings, pipeline joints, and condensation protection measures.

Cables should be well protected to avoid friction and wear, vehicle collisions, continuous vibration, sharp edges, high temperatures, and water immersion. After debugging is completed, all temporary wiring must be removed and not allowed to be retained.

Simulate normal operating conditions to test the emergency power-off function. After triggering the emergency stop, the equipment should be safely shut down, and there should be no uncontrolled movement of components, damage to the water pump, or inability to perform reset operations.

Test Water Supply, Pressure Control, and Leak Prevention

The water system cannot simply check for water leakage when the water pump is stopped. It must be fully tested according to the actual working load.

Verify whether the inlet pressure, water flow rate, filtration device, backflow prevention device, shut-off valve, and pipeline diameter meet the technical requirements for equipment water supply.

If the inlet pressure is too low, the cleaning effect will be greatly reduced; If the pressure is too high, it is easy to damage pipe fittings, hoses, solenoid valves, water pumps, and spray cleaning components.

Carefully inspect pipeline supports, flexible joints, couplings, pipe clamps, valves, and threaded interfaces. All components should be convenient for later maintenance and well protected to resist equipment vibration and accidental impact.

When the water pump is running with load, carry out standardized pressure testing, comprehensively inspect the connection positions of all parts, and focus on high-pressure pipelines, manifolds, nozzles, and hose joints.

Confirm that the pressure relief components, bypass circuit, and pressure switch are working properly according to the manufacturer's calibration parameters. Without written permission from the supplier and proper documentation, unauthorized modification of factory parameters is strictly prohibited.

The water recycling system needs to verify the direction of water flow, water tank level, filter, supporting water pump, and overflow channel. Inadequate debugging of the recycling system can easily lead to the diffusion of sediment and impurities, and even cause damage to the water pump.

Before the car wash is officially put into operation, it is necessary to clean the filter screen and construction debris inside the filter. Residual sealant, metal debris, dust and impurities can clog the nozzle and wear out the water pump seal.
